Through faculty-led sessions, visits from guest speakers, and skill-building activities, students will explore many aspects of a modern campaign, including data analysis and polling, fieldwork and voter outreach, communications and messaging, and campaign strategy.

Tufts is a leading university with a reputation for excellence, connecting a rigorous research environment with an immersive liberal arts experience.
Tufts Campaign School students will learn from experienced campaign leaders and experts, including Tufts University alumni. Each student will produce a digital portfolio of work throughout the duration of this program.
I learned the importance of working hard and believing in the candidate you are working for. While I learned many technical skills throughout the week that are useful for working on a campaign, I learned the importance of being willing to do anything needed and hard work.
I feel more in tuned with my skills and values and I am able to identify which campaigns represent those values. This will enhance my ability to choose a candidate to work for whose values best reflect my own.
I’m now far more aware of what goes into a campaign and how easy it is to get really involved from virtually any level.

The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life is a national leader in civic education and engagement that sets the standard for higher education’s role in advancing the greater good.
Tisch College is charged with a broad and vital mission: to prepare students for a lifetime of engagement in civic and democratic life, to study civic life and its intersections with public and private institutions, and to promote practices that strengthen civic life in the United States and around the world.
We pursue that mission in a variety of ways. Tisch College builds an enduring culture of active citizenship at Tufts. More than half of all undergraduate students report participating in community service or civic engagement activities while at the university. Through curricular and co-curricular activities, these students address pressing social issues by working with local, national, and international organizations.
Tisch College combines education, research, and practice to serve as a hub for students, faculty, and community members who are committed to civic engagement and to its ability to change the world for the better.
