This program enabled our child to learn more about salient issues like redlining through a social change prism with like-minded peers of diverse backgrounds and geographies. The teaching and social exchanges were particularly valuable and instructive amidst a summer of social upheaval and quarantines. Program leaders contributed significant expertise, insight, enthusiasm, and support.
The program had all things my daughter was looking for in terms of doing a summer program and getting an insight into the health field. They offered a good combination of speakers, lectures, and hands-on experiences. Overall, I was happy and would recommend it.
We were very impressed by the program. The instructors were dedicated and knowledgeable. Our son was fully encouraged by the teachers and engaged with the other campers to exchange ideas and discuss projects. The project assigned to the students was well designed, which let my son utilize his past knowledge but challenge him to learn and apply new concepts. Overall, it was a great experience seeing our son work like a little engineer, and he connected with other students who had the same interests and was convinced that he would like to pursue engineering as a major and career.
