Introduce Your Student to Engineering Design this Summer
Tufts K-8 Programs offer students the opportunity to explore the creative and logistical nature of engineering as a hobby and potential profession. We emphasize social interactions just as much as engineering. We hope that students will feel a connection to their classmates as well as the instructor and teaching assistants. Using the ubiquitous building system, your student will meet others who share their love of LEGO and learning while being guided through a series of exercises to introduce them to engineering essentials.

Grade 1-3 Programs
Spy Gadget Robotics and Engineering
One Week Program | Daily 9am–3pm EST
June 26 - 30
In this workshop, students will act as spy agents as they work through missions and develop gear to help solve their secret operations. Students will solve open-ended design problems by building and programming with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robotics kits as well engage in non-robotic design activities while using the engineering design process.
Wizarding Robotics and Engineering
One Week Program | Daily 9am–3pm EST
July 10 -14
In this engineering workshop, students will solve open-ended design problems by building and programming with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robotics kits as well engage in non-robotic design activities as they create magical inventions for their wizard clients and a chance to bring to life their own magic spells through using the engineering design process.
Robotics and Engineering Designs for Carnivals
One Week Program | Daily 9am–3pm EST
July 17 - 21
In this engineering workshop, students will solve open-ended design problems by building and programming with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robotics kits as well engage in non-robotic design activities while using the engineering design process as they design their carnival.
Robotics and Engineering Devices to Assist Animals
One Week Program | Daily 9am–3pm EST
July 31 - August 4
In this engineering workshop, students will explore different ways that engineering can be used to help and care for animals. Students will solve open-ended design problems by building and programming with the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robotics kits as well engage in non-robotic design activities while using the engineering design process.

Junior Engineering Investigators
One Week Program | Daily 9am–3pm EST

Junior Engineering Investigations is our next-level engineering summer experience for entering 7-9th grade students. The program introduces students to a variety of engineering disciplines to help them develop engineering skills as well as explore possible future careers.
