Tufts Pre-College is a great way to spend your summer getting to know different people with different cultural backgrounds. It's also a good representation of what college life will be like."

During our discussions, [our CA] provided us with thought-provoking questions and ensured that we heard from a number of perspectives. More importantly, though, [he] challenged our assertions and ideas and pushed us to think about the implications of what we were claiming."

I signed up for Tufts IR Pre-College hoping to expand my understanding of global issues. And while I have done this, in many ways, these two weeks helped me see how little I know and how much there still is to discover not only in terms of academically studying the world, but also personally learning from it."

In this program, I have been introduced to new ways to think about art. The projects have challenged me and already have prompted me to come up with several more projects that I can't wait to get started on."

I only ever thought about art in a technical way, and that has completely changed. I am much more interested and engaged in my art conceptually. Before taking part in this program, I had only ever used traditional mediums like charcoal, oil, gouache, etc. I am now very eager to get my hands on as many mediums as I can. I want to do more with animation and sculpture, as well as try different styles of painting."
