Earn your M.A.T. in Middle and High School Education

Beyond learning how to teach, you’ll discover how to think deeply about teaching and build relationships.

The Master of Arts in Teaching at Tufts University prepares middle and high school educators in a variety of academic fields. In the program, you’ll be paired with a local classroom and mentor teacher in your subject area and grade level of interest. The experience will give you the opportunity to try different teaching strategies and to reflect on the teaching experience while completing the practicum component required for Massachusetts Initial License in Middle and High School Education.
